FIRE crews rushed to TE Connectivity on Cheney Manor Industrial Estate in Swindon this morning after reports of a blaze.
As the premises is used to store chemicals, a hazardous materials attendance was mobilised from Salisbury, with three fire engines – from Westlea, Stratton and Swindon – supported by an aerial appliance from Swindon, an emergency support unit from Chippenham and an operational support unit.
The fire was traced to a rear annexe of the factory and was out on arrival.
No chemicals were involved in the incident and firefighters were able to start leaving the site by 10am.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service said that what started the small fire remains under investigation.
