AS well as goals being scored, the League 1 play-off final saw thousands of pounds raised for Prostate Cancer UK.

The organisation is the official charity of the Football League.

With three play-off finals taking place at Wembley Stadium at the weekend, Prostate Cancer UK, had dozens of bucket collectors dotted around.

Sam Lucas, collecting for the charity, said: “During the season we do lots of work with the Football League and we are really grateful for the support we receive.

“The fans of both teams have really great and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated.”

Prostate cancer is responsible for the deaths of 10,000 men every year and the charity works to fund new treatments.
