AIR ambulances landed at Swindon's Spring Gardens after reports of a 50-year-old man suffering a cardiac arrest.
The man is believed to have been taken ill at Swindon Borough Council’s Wat Tyler House in Beckhampton Street today at about 1pm.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance landed after 1pm and Great Western Air Ambulance also landed. WAA is thought to have taken off just before 2pm.
Ambulance crews from South Western Ambulance Service and St John Ambulance were also at the scene.
Firefighters attempted to take the man out of Wat Tyler House through a third floor window but it was eventually decided that he would not be removed this way.
He was taken to hospital by an SWAS crew.
The council's one-stop shop, which was closed earlier, has now reopened.
