Cancer Research UK Superstore in Swindon to open this month

Construction has been going on at the unit between Boots and the now-closed Argos for a number of weeks, but signage for the shop has now finally gone up.

Inside stock can already be seen, as there are several racks of clothes ready for people to purchase, suggesting that the store is almost ready to open.

A sign on the front door says that its opening date will be Thursday, October 27 at 10.30am. 

Swindon shoppers have had to wait since the store's arrival was announced, with the charitable organisation confirming its plans in August 2021. 

Some residents believe it also might be just the thing to bring more people back to the retail park, which has seen a number of closures in the last couple of years.

Ruth King from North Swindon said: "As long as the prices are good it might tempt me to visit."

The store will be joining Lidl and Smyths Toys as new businesses in the park, with Poundland on its way as well.
