An eight-year-old rescue dog, who has undergone surgery for a tumour, is searching for a new home this winter.

Tyson, an Alaskan Malamute in the care of charity Saints Sled Dog Rescue and being looked after in Swindon.

“We are operating on Tyson due to a tumour on a retained testicle which is causing him a lot of grief,” said the charity.

“He is a very sweet boy who once out of pain and danger will be an amazing companion.”

It is not known yet how much the price of Tyson’s full treatment will be, but the charity has already spent over £1,000 on medical bills.

“The vets have predicted around another £1000 plus for the operation and after care,”it added.

To apply to adopt Tyson, you can find a form to fill in on the charity’s website saintssleddogrescue.co.uk/adoption.

If you are unable to adopt, you can still help Tyson by sponsoring his medical bills.
