Dinomania of Britain’s Got Talent is set to return to Swindon next month for the fourth year running.

The interactive show allows families to get closer to the beasts of the past, with live dinosaur dances and fights with an educational twist.

The Jurassic event is hosted by ranger Chris Roberts who started the company back in 2015 in Hirwaun, Wales.

“Ever since I was a young child I was interested in Dinosaurs and I was told that I should go into the entertainment industry,” he said.

“It is a great way to educate and entertain children with my passion.”

The 42-year-old organises the shows but is aided by his prehistoric friends and team who help to bring the ancient creatures to life.

“I host it and I am also a puppeteer for a few of the dinosaurs that we have,” said Chris.

“There is always a lot of interaction as we do lots of dances and there’s even a fight with a dinosaur that I do.”

Britain’s Got Talent featured Dinomania last year, with the dinosaur dancing reaching the semi-final stage of the televised talent competition.

“We managed to get to the semi-finals and performed live at the Hammersmith Apollo in London,” recalled Chris.

“It was an amazing experience and a whole lot of fun.”

Chris has as many as 24 dinosaurs under his Pterodactyl wing at the moment with classic favourites such as the T-Rex and also a brand new Armagosaurus.

“When someone asks I say they’re real and I get them from eggs,” laughed Chris.

“They actually are shipped from China and are made from a type of rubber.”

Boasting over three million followers across YouTube and TikTok, the team travel up and down the country entertaining the masses.

Dinomania is no stranger to Swindon either with Chris taking the interactive show to the Wiltshire town as many as three times prior to the latest excursion.

“We have sold out all of the last three years when coming to Swindon,” said Chris.

“The crowds in Swindon are great, that’s why we keep coming back!”

Dinomania arrives in Swindon on Saturday, April 29, and will leave at the end of the following day with two shows scheduled for both days.

The morning show will commence at 11am whereas the afternoon edition will kick off at 2pm with the whole weekend being hosted at the sports hall at Kingsdown School.

Tickets cost £15 with those under the age of one attending for free.
