Public tennis courts in Swindon that were so neglected they were 'unplayable' have been transformed after weeks of work.
South Swindon Parish Council announced in March that the Quarry Road sporting facility would be receiving a £140,000 investment.
Funding was provided by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and work started shortly after the announcement.
In a post on its Facebook page, the parish council has now shared pictures of the new courts after they've been painted.
A spokesperson said: "The Quarry Road Tennis Courts have now been painted and we hope you agree they look fantastic.
"Big thank you again to the LTA - Tennis For Britain for the funding we received for these dramatic improvements.
"We will be announcing in due course the re-opening of the courts."
At the end of May, South Swindon Parish Council and the National Tennis Association announced a partnership to manage the new sporting facilities.
From June, the NTA will take on the management of the courts on a 12-year term and pay rent to the parish council that will be used as a fund for ongoing maintenance and an eventual refurbishment in 10 to 12 years.
