The Chief Constable of Wiltshire Police has been patrolling one of the county’s towns on foot despite rainy conditions.
Catherine Roper, who replaced predecessor Kier Pritchard in the top role in February this year, was patrolling Devizes on Friday afternoon.
She was joined PCSOs Andrew MacLachlan and Debbie Lowe as the trio patrolled the surrounding areas as well.
The patrol visited Caen Hill, Erlestoke, Great Cheverell, West Lavington and Potterne and spent some time in Devizes town centre.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Despite the awful weather, we met and chatted to many people shopping in town.”
