A DPD driver was stopped by police after being caught using his phone whilst driving.
As well as using his phone, Wiltshire Police spotted the driver was also not wearing a seat belt and had a defective tyre.
The Wiltshire Specialist Operations twitter page, which covers the force's armed response and roads policing units, posted about the incident late on Tuesday evening.
#RPU stopped this delivery driver in Swindon. He was using his phone, not wearing a seatbelt & had a defective tyre . With 6points in his licence already, you’d think he would know better #fatal5 pic.twitter.com/asaKidwrm0

In the tweet they said that the man in question already had six points on his licence and that “you’d think he would know better”.
The force were challenged by one social media user, who questioned whether delivery drivers were required to wear seatbelts.
A spokesperson for the Unit replied: "Only if they are doing drops less than 50m apart."
