Police are on the case after a man in Swindon was seen attacking his own dog.
At 2.45pm on February 6, Wiltshire Police received a report involving a couple walking their dog in Wheatcroft Way, in the Walcot area, before boarding the S6 bus.
An eyewitness reported seeing the man attack his dog with a walking stick, whilst also kicking the dog.
The dog is described as a white and tan-coloured bulldog but could have been a crossbreed.
The man was wearing a red cap, a black coat, and a beige scarf, and was described as being black or Asian. The woman he was with is described as wearing a black coat with a fur hood.
Officers are now appealing for any other eyewitnesses who may have seen the alleged incident take place to come forward and share what they saw.
A spokesperson said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone with more information which could help us identify those involved.
