I'm writing to you from Prospect Hospice, where I'm staying for a few days of respite care. As you know, I've not felt great lately, and we've been looking to manage my pain better, and we seem to be getting there.

It's nice here. The staff are lovely, the nurses can't do enough for you and the food is fantastic. If there's not something I fancy on the menu, Gary, Julia and the team can usually put together something that's just right.

I've had a visit today from my sister Pat and my niece Sam. They're great. In fact I saw them earlier in the week and I gave Pat the painting I mentioned a few weeks ago. It's a Bluebell wood landscape, and she loves it.

Jackie's been visiting me twice a day every day too, and I'm thrilled that she does, but she's supposed to be getting some rest too!

So I'm here for the weekend, and will be going home Monday.

Thank you to everyone for your comments. They mean a lot to me, and it's great to know I'm being read. It makes the blog worthwhile for me.

Take care, and we'll catch up soon, Paul
