Something a bit different this week - I've been talking to the media! Reporter Steph Tye, photographer Stuart Harrison and fellow blogger Beckie (aka Mums the Word) have just met with me and Andrew here at the Hospice, and we have discussed this blog for a forthcoming article in the Advertiser.
We had a really good chat, and it was nice to meet Beckie, and talked about what my weekly visits to Day Hospice and the blog itself mean to me. Thanks for coming in!
It's been a significant week in my illness too. Last Friday I was at the Hospital, and they told me that the last chemo I received would be my last for a while, and we are now on a 'watch and wait brief'. My pict line will be coming out this afternoon at midday, and my treatment will be scans, blood tests and pain management.
So, for now, I'm hoping for the best. Chemo to date has served me well, and if you ever find yourself in the position I did when I was first diagnosed, then I would recommend taking the chemo every time. I know people's experiences differ, but my treatment has been positive. I don't know how things might have been if I hadn't taken it.
So I'm keeping it brief this week...I've more to say, but it can wait till next time.
Take care, Paul
