DAVID Howell produced another fine round at the Volvo China Open in Shanghai to share the lead going into the final day.
After yesterday's round of level par saw him fall off the pace, the Swindon ace moved to eight-under with his second round of 68 of the week this morning.
The Broome Manor pro, who shares the lead with three other people including defending champion Alexander Levy, went out in 34 picking up birdies on holes seven and eight.
On the turn for home, the 39-year-old, then picked up shots on 10 and 11 before another birdie on 13 put him five-under for the round.
However, Howell then gave a shot back on the next hole with a bogey five as he came in four-under for the day and a good position to secure his first title this year.
