CIRENCESTER took four of their boxers to Wales for a show hosted by Ana ABC.

First up for the club, seeking his second victory in less than a week, was 13-year-old Raymond Jones and he faced Cameron Samuels from the host club.

Jones went after his opponent with good lefts to the head forcing the Welsh youngster onto the back foot before the Ciren teenager continued to pile on the pressure with a series of combinations that left Samuels clinging on to survive the round.

In the second half of the bout Samuels did well to go the distance as Jones won a unanimous points decision.

Meanwhile Lewis Varey secured his fifth win of the season when defeating Colcott’s Kain Anderson.

Varey took the fight to Anderson, boxing well behind the jab, landing good scoring punches.

The Welsh boxer battled back gamely but Varey was always one step ahead pushing Anderson back and making him miss.

Jordan Wall was the third boxer out for Cirencester and the 16-year-old Dorcan Academy schoolboy inflicted Ana’s Ioan Evans' first defeat.

In an all-action bout, Wall made his dominance felt from the start, catching Evans with combination right to the body, left to the head, boxing at high speed making the Welsh boxer miss as Wall claimed a unanimous points decision.

Last up was 14 year old Tommy Varey as he faced Owen Jones in a 50 kilogram contest.

Varey, up on his toes and boxing with a tight guard, caught the Welsh boxer with two and three punch combinations, followed by left hand to the body and what can only be described as giving a boxing lesson the Evans to claim a unanimous points decision.
