FORMER Swindon Robins ace Hans Andersen will guest for the Abbey Stadium men in Thursday’s crucial clash with Wolverhampton at Blunsdon.

Andersen will take the place of Adrian Miedzinski, who stood down from the team after his point-less performance at Leicester on Monday.

The Robins have a guest facility for Miedzinski, pending further decisions to cover the Polish racer. Australian Darcy Ward has been strongly linked with a move to join the club after the end of his ban.

Boss Alun Rossiter said: “Hans is still a very good friend of this club and always enjoys riding for us. He is still a hero with our fans after winning the title in 2012.”

Andersen slots in at five with skipper Troy Batchelor again at one and Nick Morris moving to three.

Meanwhile, the Robins are hoping for a packed house when reigning champions Poole arrive on the rearranged date of Monday, July 13.

The club have slashed admission prices for the televised fixture to just £10 for adults and concessions – including admission at the gate on the night.

Leicester have agreed to switch their visit to the Abbey from July 9 to August 27 to ease fixture congestion.

Rossiter added: “Meetings with Poole are always something special and this will be a massive night for the team.

“We know we cannot afford to lose to them and our boys will be on a mission that night. It would be wonderful to see the place packed for the visit of top GP stars like Holder and Janowski.

“At the same time we are continuing to look at our own side and what we can do following Adrian Miedzinski’s decision to stand down from British racing.”
