SUPERMARINE’s Carol Sandry, Marilyn Kilburn, county president Pat Jones and Bev Millin have secured their place at the Ladies National Championship in August.

They will be joined by county rivals Box at Royal Leamington Spa after they booked their place in the County Fours final at the end of July.

It is the first time that the Supermarine ladies section will have had representation in the national championships in the fours and only the third time they have had representatives at event.

From an initial entry of 36 teams eight fours combinations had battled their way through to the latter stages of the county national fours held at Amesbury last weekend with Millin’s quartet defeat the Devizes’ four, skipped by Sheila Garlick, 24-15, while Box’s Jacobs rink defeated Purton’s Alison Fail 20-14.

WILTSHIRE Ladies led by county president Pat Jones fell to a 148-92 loss against Warwickshire at Supermarine.

WILTSHIRE ladies have named their side for their opening 2016 Johns Trophy, inter-counties group match, against Devon at Culm Vale on Saturday, June 4 (2pm).

Royal Wootton Bassett teenager Maisie Daniell is selected for the first time.

In this season's Johns Trophy Wiltshire have been drawn in a five county West Group B and face Devon away next Saturday. Then meet Dorset at home at Devizes on June 25.

After that they travel to Weobley to play Herefordshire on July 2 and end their group campaign against Worcestershire at Devizes on July 9.

Only the group winner progresses to the quarter-finals against the winner of other west group.
