ADVER Sport rounds up the latest transfers in League Two and the moves involving players of interest to Swindon Town fans.

Ex-Robins midfielder Massimo Luongo has signed a six-month deal with League One Ipswich Town after his contract with Championship side Middlesbrough was cancelled by mutual consent.

Luongo failed to make a first-team appearance in his four months at the Riverside after arriving from Sheffield Wednesday, and re-joins a club he once played on loan for as a youngster.

The 30-year-old played 11 games for the Tractor Boys at the start of the 2012-13 campaign before joining Swindon, initially on loan, in January 2013.

Luongo returned to Wiltshire on loan at the start of the 2013-14 season but signed permanently just weeks later after Town paid Tottenham Hotspur £400,000 for his services.

The Australian international scored 14 goals and provided 16 assists in 102 Swindon appearances while also winning the Asia Cup and going to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil while at SN1.

After providing two assists during three League One play-off appearances in 2015, a then-22-year-old Luongo departed Town for Queens Park Rangers for an undisclosed fee.

Meanwhile, another ex-Swindon man, Jordon Garrick, has been signed by Forest Green Rovers for an undisclosed fee.

The former Swansea City winger was on loan with Lincoln City but was recalled so he could pen an 18-month deal with the Gloucestershire outfit.

Garrick spent six months on loan with Town under John Sheridan during the second half of the 2020-21 season and scored two goals while providing two assists in 19 appearances.

Elsewhere, in League Two, Hartlepool United have signed Newport County midfielder Matty Dolan on an initial loan, with the deal becoming a permanent one in the summer.

The 29-year-old has re-joined his home-town club having previously enjoyed two stints on loan in 2013 and 2015.

Mike Flynn’s Walsall have signed another Newport County midfielder, Robbie Willmott, on loan for the rest of the season.

The Saddlers acquired Willmott a day after bringing Bristol City centre-back Joe Low in, also on loan.

Stevenage have signed Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Daryl Horgan on loan for the rest of the season.

The 30-year-old – who has played for Preston North End and Hibernian – becomes the second midfielder to arrive at the Lamex this month following Boro’s capture of Jake Forster-Caskey.

Colchester United have signed Bradford City defender Fiacre Kelleher on a two-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee to maintain the Essex club’s busy start to the January window.
