THERE is less than a week to go before the summer transfer window officially opens for English football clubs.

Swindon Town have only announced Charlie Austin has re-signed, while no fresh faces have turned up at the County Ground just yet, adding to the healthy crop of retained players from last term.

Across League Two, a handful of business transactions have been completed.

Adver Sport brings you up to date with the latest summer moves involving fourth-tier sides.

Former Swindon forward Will Randall has signed a two-year contract with recently-promoted Notts County.

The winger – who spent four years at Gander Green Lane and helped Sutton achieve promotion into the EFL by winning the National League in 2021 – began his career in Wiltshire before moving to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2016, three seasons after making his professional debut for the Robins.

But after brief spells on loan with Walsall, Forest Green Rovers, and Spanish side FC Jumilla, Randall departed Molineux without having registered a professional appearance.

Over 120 games for Sutton later, along with 17 goals and three assists – the 26-year-old has joined ex-Oxford United midfielder Jodi Jones in moving to Meadow Lane.

All the League Two transfer deals completed so far.

The most eye-catching deal to be agreed in League Two over the course of the past week was Kristian Dennis’ switch from Carlisle United to Tranmere Rovers.

Carlisle’s top scorer last season with 20 league goals, 33-year-old Dennis turned down the offer of a new contract with the League Two play-off winners in order to sign a two-year contract at Prenton Park.

Elsewhere, Harrogate Town have picked up former Morecambe left-back Liam Gibson on a two-year contract.

The 26-year-old former Newcastle United trainee can count Accrington Stanley and Grimsby Town among his former clubs.

Released Swindon winger returns to non-league club.

Town thought to be interested in ex-Newport goalkeeper.

Versatile left-sided player Clarke Oduor has signed a three-year contract with Bradford City after being released by Barnsley.

The Kenyan international, who can operate as a left winger, wing-back or full back, began at Leeds’ academy before moving to Oakwell in 2019, making 57 appearances.

The 23-year-old only scored one goal for the Tykes, but it was a significant one - a stoppage-time winner at Brentford that kept them in the Championship in 2020.

Oduor had a loan spell in League Two last season and played 14 times for Hartlepool United, netting once against Swindon in October.

He returned to Barnsley after Christmas but did not feature under Michael Duff.

Finally, former Mansfield Town striker Danny Rose has moved to Grimsby Town from Stevenage for "an undisclosed five-figure fee."

The 29-year-old has signed a two-year contract at Blundell Park after netting nine times in 52 appearances last season as Steve Evans' men won promotion into the third tier.
