SWINDON Town have confirmed ticket details ahead of the club's away fixture against Wrexham in August.

The much-anticipated clash with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McIlhenney's club is scheduled for Saturday, August 19, days after a local derby with Forest Green Rovers.

Swindon have been offered 1,165 tickets for the game at the Racecourse Ground, but only current season-ticket holders who attended five or more away games last year - equivalent to 310 loyalty points - will be able to purchase one in the first priority window, which begins on Tuesday, August 1 at 10am.

After that, starting from 10am on Tuesday, August 3, current Town season-ticket holders who do not meet the above criteria can book their spot. Should any seats be left on Tuesday, August 8, tickets will be placed on general sale.

Swindon recently announced an update to their loyalty scheme in which: "every supporter with a 23/24 season ticket will be awarded 260 points straight off like last season, while fans without one will start with zero and build up their tally throughout the season."

As was the case last term, supporters will be awarded 15 points for a home game and 10 points for an away trip.

Due to a couple of high-profile away games arriving early in the new campaign, Town believe their tweaked system will reward supporters who gave up time and money to follow the club all over the country last season, rather than starting everyone on an even keel.

The club said: "We note that by taking into account last season's loyalty points, fans will not have the opportunity to have accumulated many points so early in the season, meaning brand new season-ticket holders for the 2023/24 season would instantly have the same priority for tickets compared to fans that gave up their time last season to travel with us."

Tickets for Wrexham, which will be available as one per client reference number, are priced at £24 for an adult, £19 for an over 65 or under 21, £12 for U18, and £8 for U11.

Wrexham say no alcohol will be served inside the ground to Town fans due to the location of the away fan kiosks being in view of the pitch.
