Swindon Town under-18s marched beyond Luton Town under-18s with a comfortable 2-0 win in the FA Youth Cup third round.

An own goal from Kai Hockey in first-half stoppage time and a piece of individual brilliance from Josh Keyes proved enough for a victory at Kenilworth Road.

Town will find out their opponent in the fourth round on Tuesday when Manchester United face Derby County for the right to visit the County Ground.

Redman Evans had to be alert after ten minutes when Jamie Odegah flicked Tate Xavier-Jones through on goal, but the Swindon goalkeeper was quickly off his line to deny the attacker the chance to get a shot off.

Around the half-hour mark, Swindon had a great chance to take the lead when great running down the side of the box from Botan Ameen saw him brought down in the area. Fletcher Hubbard stepped up to take the penalty but it was saved by the legs of Hockey.

Town eventually took the lead in first-half stoppage time as a corner was swung towards the back post and under pressure from Sonny Hart, Hockey did not get enough contact on his punch and the ball dropped into the back of his net.

Early in the second half, Luton won the ball well at the back and sprung a quick counterattack to set Odegah in behind, as he looked to drill a shot across goal, Finn Adams got back and made a vital block to deny him.

Town could have doubled their advantage when Jaxon Brown picked out Connor Britchford-Stanley in space on the right, he showed great composure to tee up Ameen, but his shot was too close to the goalkeeper.

A poor clearance from Luton then found Brown, he drilled a pass into Keyes on the edge of the penalty area. A perfect Cruyff turn saw him get away from two defenders before poking the ball precisely into the bottom corner to make it two.

With time ticking down, the crossbar denied Swindon the chance to put the final nail in the coffin as Ameen's speculative effort came back off the bar before Miles Obodo couldn't get the ball to drop enough to turn home the rebound.

Luton were cursing the woodwork themselves late on, Benedict Benagr was flicked the ball on the edge of the area and his fierce volley hit the top of the bar and bounced over.
