Swindon Police officers arrested a Mercedes driver for assaulting an emergency worker.
According to Wiltshire Police Special Constabulary, officers stopped the driver on Friday at 8.30pm on Queens Road, Swindon, as the car was untaxed and had an out of date MOT.
The force say after the driver refused to have their car seized by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), they then assaulted an emergency worker and were subsequently arrested.
Wiltshire Specials' tweet states the car's tax was due on May 19, 2023, and the MOT expired on August 4, 2023.

According to the force, Specials, or Special Constables, are volunteer officers who have the same powers and responsibilities as regular officers and carry out the same roles.
They put in a minimum of 16 hours a month, are 'highly trained', and play an 'essential role in preventing, reducing and tackling crime and keeping the communities of Wiltshire safe'.
Their duties involve investigating crimes, dealing with violence or public order incidents, helping to find missing persons, attending car crashes, and more.
